For more than three decades, I’ve been turning playing cards and collectible cards into unique works of art—and creating the impossible with them.

My journey began in 1992, when I started creating custom art pieces using collectible hockey cards. What began as a creative fascination grew into a specialized craft that has taken my work around the world. My artwork has been shipped to collectors globally and has been displayed in magic theatres and venues.

Over the years, I’ve also become deeply involved in the behind-the-scenes world of magic, designing and building gaffed cards, gimmicked decks, and custom magic effects. I have created these independently, for professional magicians, and for some of the largest magic companies in the industry. Professional magicians are currently performing effects that I have built.

I’ve also had the opportunity to create custom card art for a wide range of notable clients and performers, including Aerosmith, Dan Sperry, Shawn Farquhar, and Jason Ladanye. In addition, creators of custom playing cards have commissioned me to transform their own designs into custom cut-deck artwork.

One of my most recent projects was a collaboration with renowned author and magic expert Richard Kaufman for Gaffed to the Hilt: Expanded, for which I built all of the gaffs featured in the book.

I continue to create custom cut-deck art pieces today. If you have a particular deck of playing cards that you’d like transformed into a one-of-a-kind work of art, you can request a custom piece using the deck of your choice.

Whether I’m cutting and shaping hundreds of cards into an intricate work of art or engineering a deceptive gimmick for a magician, I’m fascinated by what can be created from something as familiar as a deck of cards.
